If you don't know....let me tell you. Rumi Murakami. Boom. She's a local designer with beautifully tailored, made-in-Hawaii apparel. She's a sewing GENIUS. Check out this jumpsuit from her current Fall 2013 collection!!!!! I admire her clean & polished aesthetic. Not only are her pieces made flawlessly, but she has a philosophy on tailoring the perfect fit so each item WEARS flawlessly. She is more than happy to meet, fit, & alter her items for you (alterations are FREE)! Contact Rumi @ email@example.com
I wanted to feature how versatile Rumi's designs can be; one jumpsuit, worn 2 VERY different ways. I think this entry parallels my personality with a little sassy side + little playful (nerdy) side. I'm holding my breath waiting for Rumi's Spring 2014 collection :) but until then.....ladies GET ON IT for her F2013 stuff.
Intense. The word of the day. I love how the vivid colors of Kakaako play off the straight black. I kept my necklace neutral in color as to let the wall art be an accessory :) This necklace will be available soon on my shop site so STAY TUNED.
I know it's broad daylight now but I would DEF sport this jumpsuit out on a Saturday night. It shows a fair amount of skin so pair it with a bralette, fun tank, or crop top depending on how risqué you're feelin'! No matter how you wear it, you will ALWAYS stay chic.
Ok, here's version 2. I cuffed up those legs, threw on funky flats, & tucked in Rumi's classic button down. Fun right?! I feel artsy...maybe it's all the art around me haha.
Accessory check! This ultra rad necklace is a REAL LIFE magnifying glass :) Cute, cute, cute. Detail check! This faux collared button down is so clever! Rumi really is on to something here - Looking dressed to the nines with no fuss!
