Summertime Blues

It's official...Summer is coming to a close.  I'd like to think that if we had seasons, the leaves would start changing any day now.   But to celebrate the beauty & style of my favorite season, I HAD to feature a local designer who could capture it all.  Jenna Sato is a recent UH Manoa graduate & has been designing for a year.  She's inspired by "classic elements of the 1950's but having a fun playful vibe".  I named this entry "Summertime Blues" from the 1958 song by Eddie Cochran for 3 reasons:  1. The season's ending.  2. The colors of Jenna's collection here translate (to me) like the perfect blue sky on a summer day.  3. She & I clearly love oldies :P

Jenna's favorite piece here. "I love fit & flare styles, & the sheer panels in the sleeves & hem are a nice touch".  The dainty design made me want to accent it classically.  I chose a milky opal/white statement necklace....GORG.

This is MY dream dress.  Simple, clean, & stunning.  Double click any picture of a bigger image.  There is a sweet sky blue chevron print to this dress.  Jenna loves to "mix old with new" so I paired my studded wedges & chunky lariat necklace to amp up the New.

Gosh darn it, this look is flattering!  I didn't know a knee length skirt could look so good! I would like to share how it's well-balanced.  It's a sexy busier top paired with a chic modest skirt.  My #1 rule for keeping it classy is: To always stay balanced.

Jenna Sato can take custom order not only for the the designs here but anything.  Please contact her at jennasato@gmail.com  She hopes to have her own line out soon, Haus of Quirk, sold online first.  Keep an eye out for her people...I adore ALL her pieces.
