Today's post is especially special to me since I get to feature two designer friends of mine.  Ericka Bueno of Mixe Medium (click here for website) came to me with her ultra cool handmade jewelry and I instantly knew how I wanted to blog it.  She's got a real edge to her designs and while they can be viewed as gritty, ornate, and even bohemian, I wanted to showcase her pieces in my own way.

I paired her with designs from Rumi Murakami's (click here for website) upcoming Spring/Summer '15 collection.  Her classic white button down is what I call my "Editor Shirt".  I feel like I'm channeling the eternal elegance of Vogue Editor - Anna Wintour.   The culotte is just perfect.  Length - perfect, fit - flawless, style - timeless.

This is one of those outfits that make me feel beautiful, smart, and sexy.

I hope you enjoy my combination of the statement jewelry and classic clothes.  It was my way to play with two opposing styles in one look.  It's about balance and simplicity.

RIGHT: I layered two necklaces for this open collar look.  There is something so sexy about devouring the decollate with these ornate necklaces dripping in silver.  LEFT:  I am totally a top-button kinda gal.  To jazz up the bare neckline I threw on this statement piece with draped chains.  Did you notice the sick hand-chain too?  I think I could wear this every day...
